8 Maintenance
Note: Switch the vacuum cleaner off and pull out the mains plug
before any maintenance work.
For maintenance by the user, the vacuum cleaner must be
-
dismantled,
-
cleaned and
-
maintained,
as far as possible without creating any danger to the maintenance
personnel or other.
Precautionary measures
Suitable precautionary measures include
-
Cleaning before dismantling,
-
Provide local iltered positive ventilation where the vacuum
cleaner is to be dismantled,
-
Clean the maintenance area and
-
suitable personal protection equipment.
Technical testing
A technical examination must be carried out at least once a year
by a trained person: check the ilter for damage, ensure that the
vacuum cleaner is air-tight and check that the monitoring equip-
ment functions correctly.
9 Transport
To transport safety lay the hose round the cleaner and tuck under
the handle.
Insert the connecting cable for the mains lead into the top.
10 Remedying faults
Functional faults are not necessarily always due a defective
appliance.
Fault:
Possible Cause/Remedy:
Decreasing suction
force:
Clogged ilter – Clean.
Fleece ilter bag is full – Change
Container is full – Empty.
Clogged motor protection ilter
– Clean.
Clogged nozzle, tube or hose
– Clean.
Appliance does not start:
Is the plug insertes in the socket?
Mains failure?
Is the power supply cable bro
ken?
No other “interventions“ are allowed; consult the servicing work

shop (see enclosed sheet “Customer Service Workshops”).
