Selecting a new card type will erase any previous provider and service selections.
4.2.2.2
Selecting a Provider
The PROVIDER submenu allows to select the desired provider. Each service has an associated
provider and this should be selected before the service is selected. The PROVIDER submenu is
only available for ports with expansion cards that output a service, including Audio cards, DaX
cards, and Data cards. If a relay card or other card that does not output a service is selected this
submenu will not be available. In addition, this submenu may not be available if the receiver has
not yet received its configuration tables from the satellite. Once the tables are received this
menu will be available.
Selecting a new provider will erase any previous service selections.
4.2.2.3
Selecting a Service
The SERVICE submenu allows you to select the actual service to be output on an expansion
port. The services available will depend on the selected provider and the card type (for example,
a DaX card will only allow you to select a DaX service). Like the PROVIDER submenu, this
submenu will only be available to ports with expansion cards that output a service (Audio, DaX,
or Data). This submenu will not be available if the receiver has not received its configuration
tables from the satellite.
4.2.2.4
Updating the Card Settings
The CARD SETTINGS submenu allows you to configure the settings for individual card types.
For audio and relay cards, the following menus are available. For other cards, such as a video
card, the menus are card specific and are described under the card’s heading in Appendix A.
4.2.2.4.1 Relay Port Settings
The RELAY PORT submenu is available for Audio and Relay cards. It allows you to either
view the current state of the relays or latch the relays manually for testing. Since the Relay
expansion card is married to an Audio card, using the RELAY PORT submenu for either card
will return the same values.
4.2.2.4.2 Viewing the Current Relay Status
To view the current state of the relays associated with the selected card simply enter the
RELAY STATUS submenu. This submenu will actively update the current state of the relays. A
“-“ indicates the relay is inactive and the relay number will be displayed if the relay is active.
For relays 10 through 15 the letters A-F will be used.
The current state of 16 relays are displayed from left to right (the furthest left being Relay 0 and
the far right being Relay 15 which is represented as Relay F.
EXAMPLE
: if the LCD displays:
RELAY STATUS
0----5----A------
Relays 0, 5, and 10 are currently active.
