This screen represents the highest level of the receiver’s menu tree. By pressing

ENTER

you

can proceed down through the lower level menus. If you want to return to the Title Screen,

simply press the arrow key until you reach the Title Screen once again. Table 3 indicates the

various status messages that may be displayed on the second line of the Title Screen, with their

descriptions.

Status Message

Description

CALIBRATING

The receiver is calibrating the demodulator and is not

trying to acquire the satellite signal yet. This message

occurs just after power up, before the unit has begun

looking for the satellite signal.

ACQUIRING

The receiver is trying to find and lock on to the

satellite signal according to the entered data rate and

frequency.

GET FRAME SYNC

The receiver has found the satellite signal and is now

trying to synchronize itself with the incoming data.

CHECKING TABLES

The receiver is downloading information from the

satellite and is verifying that its configuration matches

that of the data being sent over the satellite.

TRACKING

The receiver is operating properly and is following the

incoming satellite signal.

Once you enter the Top Level menu, you are presented with four submenu options: the PORT

MENU, the CARRIER MENU, the CONFIG MENU, and the STATUS MENU. Figure 3 shows

the Title Screen and Top Level menu. The various submenus are described in the following

sections.
