6.3 - Adjustments and Procedures
The Tornado 600 MD has four types of adjustments, which are:
- Rates (according to distribution tables and item 6.3.1);
- Distribution Placement (item 6.3.2);
- Vanes (item 6.3.3);
- Overlapping between runs (item 6.3.4).
6.3.1 - Rate Adjustment
The Tornado 600MD has a lever which allows the operator to run or interrupt
a job application.
The lever has as its function, the means to open or close the product
distribution slide-gate using the feeder plate (Figure 12).
The lever is limited in its travel by a stop. The slide-gate opening is measured
by a scale, numbered from “0” to “11” (Figure 11).

With the stop placed on 0 (zero), the slide-gate should be totally closed, and
in 11(eleven), totally open. If this is not happening, reposition the rod which is
connected to the
feeder plate
and adjust its length, accordingly.
In this manual, rates for each type of product are listed, along with the
scaled openings and the corresponding rates in kg/ha.
6.3.2 - Product Placement Adjustment
According with the different rates and product physical characteristics, it will
be necessary to make product placement changes on the disc. If it is found that the
product distribution is not symmetrical with the tractor’s travel line, then it will be
necessary to make a product placement adjustment. To do so, follow steps
1, 2, 3
and 4
, as shown on the following page.
