Check the RPM
cables (black/white)
running through the
neck for continuity.

Issue resolved.
Is there
continuity?
No
Make sure that the
following connections are
solid: The connection
between the top RPM
cable (coming out of the
display), the middle
extension cable, and the
connection between the
extension cable and the
bottom RPM sensor
cable.

Align the RPM
sensor. Also see
document 635-4149.
Does the display now
show cadence?
No
Look for damage and find out which cable is
damaged (display cable, 740-6964 – RPM
extension cable, 740-6986 – RPM sensor cable,
740-6987) & repair or replace it.
Solid

Quickly tap the two
contacts on the RPM cable
connector out of the
display and see if cadence
is shown on the display?
Disconnect the
cable connection
and reconnect.

Replace the RPM EXTENSION
cable (740-6986) and the RPM
SENSOR (740-6987).

Symptom
The unit stops the workout
after 3 minutes because it does
not detect any flywheel
movement and/or when
pedaling there is no cadence
shown in the information
window on the screen.
