Pre-Operating Instructions: Connecting Water Inlet Hose
Use commercially available hose, hose joint, and clamp. The water inlet hose must be of
continuous structure and be rigid. The length of the hose should be no more than required.
The effect of suction is greatest at shorter distances from the water surface. Suction time
varies with the length of the water inlet hose. The strainer matching with the water pump
should be mounted to the end of the water inlet hose with a hose clamp.
NOTE:
The ST1WP-CA, 1” inlet/outlet is threaded with American Garden Hose
threads to accept your ¾” garden hose to use as the suction and discharge
hoses eliminating the necessity to purchase an additional hose kit for your
pump.
NOTICE:
•Beforepumping,installthestrainersecurelytotheendofthewaterinlethose.Thisstrainer
will filtrate any impurity, which may produce a passage jam and damage impellers.
•Besuretoinstallthehosejointandclampproperlyandtightlytopreventairleaks
and pumping performance drops. A loose water inlet hose will decrease the water pump
performance and self-suction ability.
