11 Installation
11.1 General information
Electrical plants are subject to certain regulations concerning
installation and operation (e.g. RL 1999/92/EG, RL 2014/34/EU and
IEC/EN 60 079-14).
The users of electrical installations in hazardous environments must
ensure that the equipment is kept in proper condition, is operated
according to instructions and that maintenance and repairs are
carried out.
The details of used associated equipment must be observed (for example permitted cable
diameter for used cable glands, tighten rules, cable clamping).
Unused openings must be closed by a suitable blind plug.
The connectors are designed to be readily connected or disconnected without load.
The cameras are sealed with a stick-on label at the screw connections to the Ex d box.
For safe transport a foam piece is inserted between the camera tube and the sun
protection. This foam piece must be removed
BEFORE
commissioning the camera.
According to IEC 60950, a suitable, easily accessible circuit breaker must be installed
outside of the camera which can cut the power line.
11.2 Special requirements
The camera may be installed and operated in any position.
The camera must be securely installed ! Use the mounting options provided by the
camera bracket !
If necessary, the camera must be secured with an additional steel chain (fall protection).
Disconnect the camera from the mains prior to assembly, maintenance or repair.
The camera enclosure is available with an Ex e connection box. The Ex e connection box
contains mounting options for further associated equipment (e.g. cable glands, cable
connections).
This associated equipment must meet the related IEC requirements:
for Ex e connection boxes this is IEC 60079-7
for Ex t connection boxes this is IEC 60079-31
