6.2.2 Protective Conductor Connection
As a general rule, make sure you do the following when connecting a protective conductor:
Always connect the protective conductor.
Use cable lugs for connecting the protective conductor to the outside.
Lay the protective conductor permanently and near to the enclosure
(see chapter "Technical data" for tightening torque).
Connect all uncoated, non-energised metal parts to the protective conductor system.

Connect the protective conductor to the outside of the enclosure on either enclosure side
A or D (see figure).
Connect the protective conductor to the enclosure (1) using a cable lug (3).
Place the washer (2) provided on top of the cable lug and secure the bolt (5) using a screw
locking device (4).
Connecting the protective conductor on the inside
Lay the protective conductor permanently on the inside (see figures) using a cable lug,
such that it mirrors the contour of the enclosure.
For electronic components in the cover: Make the PE connection (PE conductor cross
section depending on installed line conductor) from the cover to the enclosure.
