This device is suitable for outdoor and indoor use.
• Provide a protective roof or wall if enclosure and explosion protected electric
equipment is used outdoors.
• For the operating position refer to the attached documentation.
• Mount the component on a flat surface.
• Fasten the device to the mounting holes, provided for this purpose, using suitable
screws and accessories (see dimensional drawings).
• Information regarding mechanical assembly, such as location of fastening points,
dimensions or weight of the switchgear and controlgear assemblies, is given in
the enclosed assembly drawing.
• Observe the weight of the enclosure according to the type and number of the built-in
components.
• Place the Ex d enclosure on the mounting rail and connect it using M12 screws
(observe weight, see chapter "Technical data")

Non-compliance can result in severe or fatal injuries and material damage.
• Use suitable lifting tool.
• Secure against tilting.
WARNING
Mechanical overload of the device!
Non-compliance can result in severe or fatal injuries and material damage.
• Install protective wire grid.
• Install the device only in locations with little vehicle and pedestrian
traffic.
DANGER
Explosion hazard due to leaking holes!
Non-compliance results in severe or fatal injuries.
• Open holes protected with an adhesive tape must be sealed by means
of adapted and certified components.
• Remove the adhesive tape completely.
• Make sure that the components comply with the IP-protection.
DANGER
Explosion hazard due to impermissible cable entries!
Non-compliance results in severe or fatal injuries.
• Use only cable entries approved for the required type of protection.
• When selecting cable entries, observe the thread type and thread size
in the equipment documentation.
• Make sure that the conductor diameter matches the clamping
cross-section of the cable entries.
