Congratulations! You have just purchased the remarkable
HUGO soda maker. It will give you a great deal of pleasure
and your tap water can be enriched with carbon dioxide in
seconds.
As with all electrical household appliances, with this soda
maker, too, special care must be taken to avoid injury or
damage to the appliance. Please study these operating inst-
ructions carefully before first using the soda maker.
Safety advice
• Thoroughly read these operating instructions before you
operate the HUGO soda maker.
• Children should only use the HUGO soda maker under
adult supervision.
• Only start operating once the bottle is placed in the ma-
chine. Never attempt to fill an empty bottle with carbon
dioxide.
• the machine must always be used in an upright po-
sition and should never be operated in a horizontal
position.
• Do not carry out changes to the HUGO soda maker and
never attempt to repair parts of the system yourself.
• If you discover any damage or faults consult your HUGO
sales shop or Cylinder Exchange Service.
• Repairs are to be carried our only by our customer services
otherwise the guarantee is invalidated. Improper repairs
could result in considerable danger.
• The HUGO soda maker is only intended for domestic use
and is not suitable for commercial use. Use HUGO only for
its intended purpose and in the prescribed manner.
• Keep this operating instruction booklet carefully. If the
HUGO soda maker is given to a third person this operation
instruction booklet must also be handed over.
• There is a remote possibility that small particles may block
the shutter off mechanism on the cylinder, causing the gas
to continue to flow once the carbonating button has been
released. If this does occur, please wait until all of the gas
has been released from the system before removing the
bottle or cylinder and contact our Customer Services.
• When operating the machine, never put your face in
front of the machine while the water bottle is under pres-
sure.
Safety advice for the carbon Dioxide cylinder
caution: Store cylinders in a cool place. exposure to
heat will cause the pressure in the cylinder to rise.
