Stack DVL User Guide
Maximum Gain:
Limits the gain applied to achieve the
Target Level.

Set by the Left/Right Volume slider controls on the Audio
Setup tab (see page 30).
Attack Time:
Time taken by the AGC to respond to an
input signal increase.
Decay Time:
Time taken by the AGC to respond to an input
signal decrease.
Noise Threshold:
Signals lower than the threshold will be
muted (silenced).
Noise Gate Hysteresis:
Widens the on & off levels for the
noise threshold.
Detection Debounce Noise & Signal:
Time Delay to avoid
rapid activation of the noise mute/silence feature.
Clip Stepping:
Reduces the audio level automatically when
the signal exceeds the maximum allowed (clips).

Note. Do not use Clip Stepping & AGC together.
AGC Application Examples.
Three examples for the AGC setup follow.
1.
Used as the starting point in general.
2.
Used for an application where the noise is small
compared to the input signal amplitude.
3.
May be more suitable as the starting point for a condition
where noise is relatively large.

Advanced AGC parameters :-
