Battery stand-by mode
[actory setting: 1:3]
For increasing the operating time, the battery stand-by mode is automatically activated if no radio
operation is active for more than 5 seconds or if no key on the radio set is pressed. The function
switches off again as soon as a signal is received or a key on the radio set is pressed. The dwell
times of the sleep mode can be adjusted with the help of the software (OFF, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5, 1:6,
1:7, 1:8, 1:9, 1:10, 1:11, 1:12).
APO/Automatic power off
[factory setting: OFF]
The radio set is equipped with an automatic power off-function (APO). After a preset time (10 min.,
30 min., 1 h., 2 h.) the radio set is automatically switched off. Before it turns off
a warning signal
sounds.
Speech announcement
[factory setting: English speech announcement)
The radio settings are either announced in English or the function can be deactivated.
Battery-low-warning
If the capacity of the battery pack drops to less than 10%, the status LED flashes dark blue and
the announcement
Please charge battery
sounds.
When pressing the PTT button now, an alarm tone sounds and transmission is impossible. Please
charge or change the battery pack.
Priority scan
[factory setting: OFF]
When the function is activated, the radio set checks in the background whether a signal is present
on the preferred channel. Each programmed channel can be selected to be the preferred channel.
When the preferred channel is activated, the channel scan is automatically interrupted when a
signal is present on the preferred channel. The radio set remains adjusted to the preferred channel
until the signal finishes.
Emergency function/alarm
[factory setting: OFF]
One of the two lateral function keys can be assigned with an alarm/emergency call-function. In
case of an emergency, the automatic emission of an alarm tone can be activated through a key-
stroke. This is possible both in the analog as well as in digital mode.
The emergency function is deactivated by pressing the
PTT
button.
Cloning
Further handheld radio sets can easily be programmed with your personal setting by cloning the
device data. In this case, the master device is the data transmitter and the slave device is the
data receiver.
For cloning use the optionally available cloning cable to connect both devices.
Switch the slave device on.
For switching the master device into the cloning mode, adjust channel 13 by means of the channel
key, press and hold the lateral function key
FP1
and simultaneously switch the device on. After
the initialization the status LED alternately flashes green and blue.
For activating the data exchange, briefly press the PTT button.
While data are exchanged, the LED on the master device flashes blue, the LED on the slave
device flashes green.
After having finished the data exchange, the LEDs on both devices go out.
Both devices can now be switched off and the connection cable can be removed.
