1. General information
1.1 Description of the device
Fieldmeter DZ4 is a multipurpose digital measuring instrument for taking non-contacting measurements of
electric fields.
The rotary sensor head (180° in 45°steps) allow measuring on places difficult to access.
In addition, the simultaneous value (normal mode) or the peak value (MAX mode) can be displayed.
The device has a LED measurement distance display to help maintain an exact distance to the
measurement point.
The device can also be used to check the ion balance of ionizers (Needs optional, detachable electrode)
With the Hold button you can store the display reading.
1.2 Safety instructions
CAUTION
The Fieldmeter DZ4 is an industrial product and must be used only by specially
trained personnel.
CAUTION
Handle the device with care. Do not drop it and do not expose it to any mechanical
strain.
CAUTION
Do not touch the sensor and keep it clean at all times.
CAUTION
Static discharge onto the sensor or the housing can damage the device.
CAUTION
The STATIRON-DZ3 is not suitable and must not be used for taking measurements
in potentially explosive areas!
CAUTION
This device must not be used in areas in which it can come in contact with water or
oil. Do not operate the device in hot or humid locations (over 40 °C, 70% RH) and
avoid sudden changes in temperature, which can cause condensation to form.
CAUTION
If the device is not used for a longer period, remove it’s battery.
