BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOL LOWED 

WHEN USING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES, INCLUDING THE 

FOLLOWING:

1  This appliance is intended for household use only. 

It is not suitable for commercial use such as staff 

kitchen areas and other working environments.

ensure that the appliance and mains cable are always placed 

on a firm and flat surface, away from any edges of the worktop 

and out of reach from children  

Do not place the appliance 

onto a metal tray or metal surface whilst in use  Do not place 

the appliance on, or near, hot gas or electric burner or in a 

heated oven  Do not operate the appliance with wet hands 

or bare feet 

Route the mains cable so it does not overhang, and cannot be 

tripped over or caught 

Do not let the mains cable run across an open space, such as, 

between a low socket and a table, or across any hot area, such 

as a cooker, as the heat may damage it  

The connections on both sides of the mains cable (the 

appliance and socket) should never be strained  If the mains 

cable is damaged it must be replaced by a qualified person or 

service to avoid any hazards 

 

 Do not use the appliance in a bathroom, near 

water, or outdoors. Do not immerse any of the 

parts (appliance, mains cable, plug) in water 

or other liquids - this is to protect against fire, 

electric shock and personal injury. 

7    Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or 

malfunctions. Do not leave the appliance 

unattended whilst in use. Use and store it out of 

reach from children.

This appliance must not be operated by an external timer or 

a remote control system

Do not touch this product’s hot surfaces  surfaces remain hot 

even after the Blitz Halogen Oven is switched off. Wear oven 

mitts and use the protective basket provided

hot oil or other hot liquids

removing parts

 Do not move or lift the blitz Halogen oven while the mains 

cable is still connected to the power socket  Remove the plug 

from the power socket, then remove the top by using both 

hands, move carefully  Use of oven mitts is recommended

Do not place the halogen oven on or near a hot gas or 

electric hob, or in a heated oven. Keep the appliance 

at least 10 cm away from other surfaces.

When the appliance is not in use, turn the thermostat

the 

OFF

 position, allow the timer

 to stop, and disconnect 

the mains cable  

never move or lift the lid

while the mains cable is connected to the power socket

on a flat, heat resistant surface, with the lid handle

so that it rests at an angle on the stainless steel rim and the 

open lid handle

laminated surfaces, wood surfaces, paper, plastic or other 

flammable surfaces

THAN THE HANDLES, UNTIL IT HAS HAD A CHANCE 

TO COOL. 
THE OVEN’S HALOGEN ELEMENT IS VERY BRIGHT, 

NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE ELEMENT.
