Power Juicer Instruction Manual

JUICING TIPS

•

always use fresh fruit and vegetables and wash them well

before using and storing

•

If using ingredients with hard or inedible skin always peel

before juicing  fruits with pits, hard seeds or stones must be

pitted before juicing

•

add a little lemon juice to apples, pears and similar fruits to

prevent browning

•

start juicing the softer ingredients first on low speed

1

, then

increase the speed

2

 or

PULSE

 when adding harder ingredients

•

When juicing herbs, sprouts or leafy vegetables, wrap them

together into a bundle or mix them with softer ingredients and

juice on low speed for best extraction

•

always push the food pusher down slowly to maximize juice

extraction

USING THE PULP

Pulp remaining after juicing fruits or vegetables is rich in cellulose

and fibre, containing vital nutrients and can be used in many

ways  Just like juice, the pulp should also be used on the day to

avoid oxidation and loss of nutrients  The pulp can be used to

thicken sauces, soups and casseroles, in deserts and bakes, and

is also great as compost in the garden  before using the pulp for

consumption ensure that any hard pieces of fruits or vegetables

are removed

4

for about 10 minutes in warm

soapy water, then hold it under the running water and use the

supplied brush to ensure that all the pulp is removed from

the mesh and any openings

If there is any dried up pulp, soak the micro-mesh filter

4

 in

warm soapy water then use the brush again

never soak the

micro-mesh in bleach and always treat it with care as it can
