1. Disconnect electrical power and water pressure from unit being cleaned. Drain water
from unit.
2. Install pump head onto 5 gallon bucket. Pivot handle up and snap into the handle holds
on each side of the lid. See FIGURE 1 below and on sides of pump head for handle hold
locations. Some handles may have to be pushed to one side then the other.

Note:
Position the BucketDescaler
®
head on the bucket with the hand-pull on the
opposite side from where the handle will be raised into the locking position; otherwise,
the handle may not raise up over the top.) Once handle is in place, shake back and
forth to make sure the handle cannot come out when carrying unit as the pump head
may pivot over and fall if the bucket is empty.
CAUTION:
Use of a bucket that is not equipped with a handle can result in unintended
spillage of the bucket’s contents, damage to the pump head and/or operator injury.
3. Couple the BucketDescaler
®
unit into the system – Connect hoses to the pump head
male hose connections marked RETURN and OUTLET. [If equipped with the optional
chemical valve assembly, connect hose with strainer to the male hose connections
marked CHEMICAL IN for siphoning chemical from another container.] Attach other ends
of hoses to unit being cleaned.
First add 1-1/2 gallons of water first then ½ gallon of SpeedyBright
®
.
