6 Instrument Technology
Power Supply
The power management in the Spectra Precision FOCUS 30 Total Station has been
designed to deliver the most operating time in the field. The power management sys-
tem includes the internal battery, optional external power supply and the battery char-
ger.
Internal Power Supply
The primary power supply for the Spectra Precision FOCUS 30 Total Station is a
rechargeable, removable lithium-ion battery.
External Power Supply
The Spectra Precision FOCUS 30 Total Station has one external port in the base of
the instrument for communication and for external power supply. External power can
be provided by a car battery(12V) with an appropriate cable.
