Prepare the Library and Host System
Shut down the library while keeping the host interface connected to the host system.
1.
Disable any backup software that might try to access the library.
Warning:
Electric shock inside the library can cause injury or death.
Disconnect AC power before opening the library door.
2.
Turn off the power. The power switch is located at the rear of the library on the
lower left.
3.
If necessary, move the library to a location where you have full access to the front
of the library.
Caution:
The library weighs approximately 240 pounds (108.86 kg). Get
help when moving the library.
4.
Use the library key to unlock and open the front door of the library.
5.
Remove the drives from the drive bay and set them aside in a safe place.
Note:
It is not necessary to remove the media.
