Before Operating Machine
Daily Checks
Daily checks must be carried out before starting work.
Check all nuts and bolts are tight
Check tyres for any damage
Check blades are not broken or bent
Ensure all drive shafts are greased.
Check that all guards and PTO guards are intact
Ensure spindles and roller bearings are greased.
Lifting and Lowering machine
The raising and lowering of the wings and rear body are controlled by separate
hydraulic services. To lower either the wings or the rear body first pressurise the
hydraulic spool to raise the body slightly, then pull the transport release catch rope.
When holding the rope tight move the hydraulic leaver to lower the body. Make sure
there is enough space to lower the wings with no obstructions or persons around.
(See Transport Release Rope Section).
Starting machine for first time
Before you start the machine for the first time check that all the spindles move freely
this can be done with the machine in transport position.
To start the machine for the first time choose a space with little grass, then start the
PTO at idle, the tractor may stall if using a small tractor, if this happens the revs may
need to be slightly increased to start the mower.
