the Mulcher is too low and therefore, impact with obstacles occurs more often and distortion or cracks can be
caused to the teeth.
Damage to the teeth will inevitably deteriorate the quality of work and increase vibration, possibly damage the
Mulcher and partially or totally damage the teeth resulting in metal fragments being dangerously projected at
high speed into the area where the machine operates. When replacing the teeth,
it is mandatory
to check that
the seat of the flail bolt is not ovalized and its size is not more than 2 mm more than the original diameter.
For worn teeth and bolts (see Figure 16):
•
Tooth wear is directly proportional to the work done.
•
Bolts fix the teeth to the rotor shaft using two bolts, see Figure 16. Each time a tooth is replaced, the two
bolts also be replaced with new items.
When finished, remove the support stands, start up the tractor, lower the Mulcher and turn off the tractor.
CAUTION! Only use original spare parts.

Belt Maintenance
The driving force is transmitted to the rotor shaft of the Mulcher by belts with adjustable tension. Periodically, or if
the belts malfunction or slip, check the tension of the transmission belts from the appropriate slit and, if
necessary, replace them.
With reference to Figure 17, operations to be carried out are the following:
•
Remove the nuts fastening the belt guard (A);
•
Remove the guard;
•
Loosen the 4 bolts securing the gearbox (B);
•
Loosen and adjust the nuts and bolts (C) and (D) to adjust the tension of the belts;
It is advisable
to be equipped with a metal ruler of adequate length and, placing it on the edge of the two
pulleys, it must touch all four edges of the pulleys themselves.
Press on the belts, in the central area between the two pulleys, with a force of
5kg
: the force
must cause a deformation on the individual belt of
1cm
.
.
At this point:
•
Tighten the bolts that secure the gearbox and cross-tube;
