On the automatic column a handle equipped with a
pneumatic control is housed to allow the locking/un-
locking and the motion of the vertical arm. Pushing
the push-button located on this handle (see
Fig. 25
)
the following operations can be carried out:

tripping:
vertical arm descent;
2
nd
tripping:
locking of the vertical and horizontal arm
in working position;
3
rd
tripping:
unlocking of vertical and horizontal arm
and rise of vertical arm in rest position (all
upward).

12.10.1 Demounting
After clamping the wheel, the tyre is demounted fol-
lowing the instructions given below, with reference to
Fig. 26
.
1. Press the rotation pedal to rotate the wheel clock-
wise until the valve stem reaches “ hour 1” position.
2. Release the arm using the push-button placed on
the barrel handle until the 3
rd
tripping and releas-
ing arms.
3. Position the demount/mount arm on the outer edge
of the rim pushing the push-button until the 1
st
tripping.
4. Lock it in position acting again the push-button
until the 2
nd
tripping.
5. Proceed with the operations, following the indica-
tions in chapter 12.6 starting from step 4.
