SECTION 5 PREPARATION
5.1 TOOLS LIST
1.
The following tools are required to install the track system on a tractor:
•
Standard tool box
•
C-clamp
•
Impact drive and sockets, metric: 24, 30 and 36
•
Lifting straps
•
Fork lift
•
Torque wrench (600 lb-ft / 813 Nm capacity with at least 16 in. extension)
•
Hydraulic jacks and jack stands with the capacity to support the vehicle or fork lift
•
Hydraulic filling hose kit (Supplied with track system)
5.2 PREPARATION
•
The system shown is typical. Your system may differ from the one shown.
•
Make sure you have all the required parts and tools to do the work. The parts should be clean and free of corrosion.
•
Familiarize yourself with components and their location.
•
Confirm the correct orientation of your Track System.
•
Use a sander to remove paint on parts that are in contact. If you leave the paint on the parts, the gap can cause
vibration and loosening of attaching hardware.
NOTICE
DO NOT USE A GRINDER TO REMOVE THE PAINT.
