Troubleshooting
If you run into any problem using this product, disconnect the
transmitter from the Walkman, then reconnect it after a while
(reset). Furthermore, reset the headset. (For details on how to reset,
see “Cause/Remedy” of “The headset does not operate properly.”)
Also check the following list. Should any problem persist, consult
your nearest Sony dealer.
Symptom
Cause / Remedy
The transmitter is not
turned on.
(Or turns off shortly
after turning on.)
Press and hold the transmitter’s power button for about
2 seconds.
Check the remaining battery of the Walkman. If the
remaining battery is not enough, charge the Walkman.
The headset is not
turned on.
Charge the battery of the headset.
The headset is not turned on while charging. Unplug
the headset from AC power adaptor and then turn on
the headset.
No sound
Check the connection between the transmitter and the
Walkman.
Check that both the transmitter and the headset are
turned on.
Ensure that the transmitter is not too far from the
headset, or this product is not receiving interference
from a wireless LAN, other 2.4 GHz wireless device, or
microwave oven.
Pair the transmitter and the headset again (page 22).
Check that music is being played back by the
Walkman.
Check that the volume of the headset is not set too low.
Low sound level
Turn up the volume of the headset as high as possible
to the extent that sound is not distorted.
Cannot change the
volume.
Change the volume on the headset.
Distorted sound
Turn down the volume of the headset to the point
where the sound is no longer distorted.
Ensure that this product is not receiving interference
from a wireless LAN, other 2.4 GHz wireless device, or
microwave oven.
