III.  SPECIAL CONTROL NOTE:

The Sony has configuration options that must be set properly at the time of installation:

DEVICE INDEX SWITCH

: The Panel codes assume the projector network ID to 01.

To set the projector to 01:
Set the Device Index switches below the projector inputs so the first switch is 0
and the second switch is 1.

RS-232C/422A

: The projector control port must be set to RS-232C.

To set the projector to RS-232C control:
Locate the switch labeled 

RS-232C  RS-422A 

below the projector inputs.

Be sure the projector is set to RS-232C (left position).

SIGNAL SELECT

: Signal type for inputs A, B, and C must be specified on the on-screen menus.

To specify signal types:
Summon onscreen menus using the remote control or Panel Hidden Functions.
Navigate to the 

Set Settings 

submenu.

Select the Input whose type you wish to specify.
Set the input to the appropriate value.

POWER SAVING

: The Sony 

Power Saving 

feature will automatically shut the projector off after ten

minutes if it does not receive a valid input signal.  You should disable this option in the onscreen menus –
especially if the installation does not include a power current sensor.

To disable 

Power Saving mode

:

Summon onscreen menus using the remote control or Panel Hidden Functions.
Navigate to the 

Set Settings 

submenu.

Verify that 

POWER SAVING

 is set to 

OFF.

If not, navigate to 

POWER SAVING

 and set it to 

OFF.

PROJECTOR BAUD RATE

: The Panel assumes the projector BAUD rate is set to 38,400 (factory

default).

To set the projector BAUD rate:
Enter the SERVICE MENU.
Verify that the RS-232C/422A value is set to 38.4 k.
