Upgrading your VAIO computer
Removing and installing a memory module (VGN-B series)
There is one memory slot at the bottom of your notebook and one under the keyboard.
To change or add a memory module, proceed as follows:

Shut down your computer and disconnect all peripheral devices.

Unplug the computer and remove the battery pack.

Wait until the computer cools down.

Unscrew the 1 keyboard screw at the bottom of your computer.

Touch a metal object (such as the connector panel on the back of your computer) to discharge static electricity.

Turn your computer around and lift the cover.
7
Introduce a sharp object (such as a fine screwdriver) between the keys indicated on the picture (1) and push gently upwards.
