Connecting a Digital Video Camera Recorder
You can connect a digital video camera recorder to the i.LINK connector
on the network docking station. See “Connecting the Docking Station” on
page 44.
To connect a digital video camera recorder

Plug the DV connecting cable into the i.LINK connector on the rear of
the network docking station and the i.LINK connector on the digital
video camera recorder.
What is IEEE1394?
IEEE1394 is a high-speed digital serial interface suitable for transmitting
and receiving audio and video signals. A transmission speed of up to
400Mbps is possible under the currently agreed specifications.IEEE1394
has been regarded as the most suitable interface for inter-connecting
digital AV equipment and personal computers. As a member of the 1394
Trade Association, Sony Corporation has worked extensively to promote
IEEE1394 in the marketplace. It plans to provide AV products and
computer peripherals equipped with the IEEE1394 interface and bearing
the i.LINK name and logo.
