Location and Function of Parts

POWER

 switch

Press to switch the unit on or off. The
POWER lamp lights green when the power is
on.

POWER lamp
Lights green when the power is on.

Note

Do not remove the AC power cord while the
POWER lamp is lit. Doing so may damage the
built-in hard disk.

Reset hole
Not used in normal operation. Used to turn off
the power without using the POWER switch.
Insert a paper clip, the tip of a mechanical
pencil or some other pointed object into the
reset hole and push it.

RUN indicator
Lights green when the unit is ready to receive
image data from a modality.

DISK indicator
Lights green when image data is being written
or loaded to or from the hard disk. Also it
lights green when a command is being sent to
the printer.

NETWORK indicator
Lights green when image data and commands
are transferred between the modality and the
unit.

QUEUE indicator
Lights orange when image data is temporarily
stored in memory of the unit and the printer is
printing the image data sent from the unit.

~ AC IN connector
Connects the unit to a wall outlet using the
supplied power cord.

Network port
Connects the unit to the network.
There are the following two connectors as the
network port.
Connect either of the two according to the
network.
• NETWORK 10BASE-T
• NETWORK 10BASE-5

Note

Do not attempt to connect to both the10BASE-
T and 10BASE-5 connectors at the same time.
Doing so may damage internal circuits.

SERIAL connector (D-SUB 25pin)
Not used in normal operation.
Connecting a computer to this port allows the
unit to be adjusted and monitored.
For detailed information, contact your nearest
Sony dealer.

SCSI connector (Half pitch 50-pin)
Connects the unit to the printer. Up to six
printers can be connected.

Equipotential ground terminal 

1

(European model only)
Used to connect to the equipotential plug to
bring the various parts of a system to the same
potential.
Refer to “Important safeguards/notices for use
in the medical environment” on page 2.
