Searching using the Tape Guide function (SLV-N80 only)
Tips
• You can store information for up to 24 programs on a single list.
• While recording, you can display the TAPE GUIDE screen using the TAPE GUIDE button.
If you decide to stop recording, press TAPE GUIDE to make the TAPE GUIDE screen
disappear first. Then press
x
STOP.
Notes
• If you start recording a program “D” from the middle of a previously recorded program “A”
and into another previously recorded program “B,” the Tape Guide information for the
second program “B,” which is recorded over, is deleted.
• You cannot use this function unless the clock is set.
• Depending on the tape, the total or remaining time may not appear correctly.
• If many short programs are recorded on a tape, multiple programs may be included in a single
block. In this case, only the latest program information will appear in the TAPE GUIDE
screen.
• If you use the index search function (see page 89), the program played back may not coincide
with the latest program information.
• Blank time is measured from the end of the last recorded program to the end of the tape.
However, if you eject the tape and then make a new recording on the same tape, the original
recorded program(s) is (are) displayed as a blank space.
• If no information is stored in the VCR’s memory, NO DATA appears in the TAPE GUIDE
screen.
• The station ID appears on the TV screen only when you complete Smart Channel Mapping
and the VCR receives the program information signal (SLV-N80 only) (see page 52).
