You can connect a USB device to your computer.

To connect a USB device

Use the symbol to locate the USB connector. Plug one end of the USB cable into
this port and the other end into the USB device.

You can connect the optional
Sony USB mouse (PCGA-UMS1).
As the driver for PCGA-UMS1 is
preinstalled on your computer,
you can use this PCGA-UMS1
USB mouse by just connecting it.

To use the supplied floppy disk
drive and the USB mouse at the
same time, plug the USB device to
the mini USB connector of the
computer by using the supplied
conversion adapter.

The mini USB connector of the
computer is disabled when the
port replicator is connected.

When you start your notebook
computer with a USB hub
connected to it, make sure that a
device is connected to the USB
hub. If you encounter problems
booting when a USB hub is
connected to your notebook
computer, please unplug the hub
and reboot.
