1-5. LCD SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT
Note 1:
The back light (fluorescent tube) is driven by a high voltage AC
power supply. Therefore, do not touch the back light holder to
avoid electrical shock.
Note 2:
When replacing the LCD unit, be careful to prevent damages
caused by static electricity.
Note 3:
Set the LCD BRIGHT to the center.
Set the FINDER/LCD switch to the LCD side.
Note 4:
The shutter button (RL-52 board) is need not be connected. To
remove it, disconnect the following connectors.
FC-67 board CN702 (7P, 1.0mm)
Note 5:
The ST block (Electronic viewfinder, FRASH UNIT and MIC
UNIT) is need not be connected. To remove, disconnect the
following connectors.
1. FC-67 board CN001 (5P, 1.0mm)
2. FC-67 board CN704 (13P, 1.0mm)
3. FC-67 board CN601 (21P, 0.5mm)
Note 6:
The lens block (LENS UNIT, CD-207 board, VP-49 board and
SE-78 board) and operation switch block (MF UNIT, FRONT SW
and SIDE SW) are need not be connected. To remove them ,
disconnect the following connectors.
1. FC-67 board CN703 (10P, 0.5mm)
2. FC-67 board CN401 (20P, 0.5mm)
3. FC-67 board CN701 (14P, 0.5mm)
4. FC-67 board CN101 (16P, 0.5mm)
[Adjusting connector]
Most of the measuring points for adjusting the LCD system are
concentrated in CN701 of the PK-45 board.
Connect the Measuring Instruments via the CPC-12 jig (J-6082-
436-A).
Refer to “1-4. COLOR ELECTRONIC VIEWFINDER SYSTEM
ADJUSTMENT” for further details.
[Alignment disk]
Use the alignment disks (two disks as pair) shown in below.
Disk-1: TFD2-1(+) (Parts code; 8-967-990-01)
Disk-2: TFD2-2(–) (Parts code; 8-967-990-11)
Refer to “1-4. COLOR ELECTRONIC VIEWFINDER SYSTEM
ADJUSTMENT” for the contents of alignment disk.

Note:
To write in the non-volatile memory (EEPROM), press the
PAUSE button of the adjustment remote commander each time
