5-8-6. Setting the Lighting Pattern (2D)
In this system, the Lighting Pattern can be registered according to the required brightness. However, if all
lamps (six lamps for SRX-R515P/R515) are not installed, the projector does not operate correctly.
1. Determine the Lighting Pattern. (Refer to “How to determine the Lighting Pattern” described below.)
2. Tap the “Configuration” tab.
3. Tap
[Projector|$2D%]
→
[Set|Function]
.
The Set Function screen is displayed.
4. Set the Lighting Pattern for 2D lens in the Lighting Pattern pane.
5. When the Lighting Pattern is set to any number other than the number of all lamps (six lamps for
SRX-R515P/R515), select 1 in the Gamma/Uniformity Table on the screen of the Projector Color
Adjustment Tool, and then perform the uniformity adjustment.

The Projector Color Adjustment Tool (version 2.0.1.8 or later) is used for the uniformity adjustment.
For the adjustment procedure, refer to the Technical Manual of the Projector Color Adjustment Tool.

The Lighting Pattern for 2D lens and the uniformity corresponding to it are registered.
How to determine the Lighting Pattern
The Lighting Pattern is determined based on the measurement tool “Calculation tool for Screen size &
Brightness” and the Lighting Pattern/brightness table. For obtaining “Calculation tool for Screen size &
Brightness” (including an instructions), contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
