The charging indicator
disappears in the middle of
charging. • A rechargeable battery other than an NH-AAA model or a battery
other than a rechargeable battery (alkaline battery, manganese
battery, etc.) has been inserted.
• The rechargeable battery has deteriorated.
• When playing back messages using the built-in speaker, or when
listening to the FM radio, you cannot charge the battery.

flashing instead of the
remaining battery indicator.
• The environmental temperature is out of the range for charging.
Charge the battery in an environment with a temperature of 5 °C -
35 °C.
The battery life of the
rechargeable battery is short. • You are using the rechargeable battery in an environment with a
temperature of under 5 °C. Charge the battery in an environment
with a temperature of 5 °C - 35 °C.
• The IC recorder has not been used for a certain time. Charge and
discharge the rechargeable battery using the IC recorder several
times.
• Replace the old one with new rechargeable battery.
• The remaining battery indicator is displayed only for a short time,
however, the rechargeable battery is not charged completely. It
takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge exhausted
battery.
The changed menu setting
does not function. • If the battery is removed just after the menu setting is changed, the
menu setting may not function.
