9. RS-422A test
Connect the connector tool(s) to the RS-422A connectors at the rear. (Refer to Section 2-2-1.)
Set the test item number to “

” using the
[+]
/
[_]
button, and then press the “STORE” button to activate
a test.
Outputs data from “0h” to “ffh” to the RS-422A connector and test that the same data can be received.

The states of the test result display that is displayed on the 7SEG LEDs and the LED inside the CON-
TROL SELECT button will change depending on the number of connector tools to be connected.
The states of both LEDs are as follows:
When using the four tools:
Test result 7SEG LED display LED inside the CONTROL SELECT button
OK “ PA ” All light off.
NG “
Er
” LED of an abnormal port : Blinks.
LED of a normal port : Lights off.
When using the three tools or less:
Test result 7SEG LED display LED inside the CONTROL SELECT button

” LED of a port to which the tool is connected : Lights off.
LED of a port to which the tool is not connected : Blinks.
NG “
Er
” LED of a port to which the tool is connected : Blinks.
LED of a port to which the tool is not connected : Blinks.

” is displayed, see Section 2-3-11, “Troubleshooting for RS-422A Test Error” to clarify the cause.
To quit the test, and press the “CANCEL” button. The 7SEG LEDs display returns to the test item
number.

To quit the self diagnostic mode, set the switch S100-8 (J-3) on the CP-364 board back to OFF.
