Attach the oval attachment for
“WALKMAN” as shown below.
Match the hole on the WM-PORT with the projection
on the left side of the attachment.
Do the operation described in step
1 to remove the oval attachment for
“WALKMAN”.
Transferring audio data to a
“WALKMAN” or a USB device

Connect a “WALKMAN” or a USB
device to the unit.
When transferring tracks to a
“WALKMAN”:
Do one of the following.
Connect a “WALKMAN” to the WM-
PORT on the top of the unit.
Connect a “WALKMAN” to the (USB)
port on the front of the unit.
When transferring tracks to a USB
device:
Connect a USB device to the (USB) port on
the front of the unit.
Make sure the “WALKMAN” or the USB
device is firmly connected.
For details on connections, refer to the
operating manual of the “WALKMAN” or the
USB device as well.
If two portable devices are connected to the
WM-PORT and the (USB) port at the same
time, the device connected to the WM-PORT
takes priority. If you want to select the device
connected to the (USB) port, disconnect
the device from the WM-PORT.
Notes
Do not connect the “WALKMAN” to the unit
while the “WALKMAN” is updating its database.
It may take a while for the unit to recognize the
“WALKMAN” or USB device.
