2. An example of CIFS (Common Internet File
System) Mount
Method used to share volumes from Windows PC.
Preparation:
To accommodate enough reloading time from tape media,
it is recommended to increase the timeout value for CIFS
mounts. Select [Servers]
→
[CIFS Client Setting] icon.
Enter an appropriate Session Timeout value.
(When a setup file is created with the default timeout
value, the timeout is set to 600 seconds.)
Click “Creates a file for registry. configuration” button.
Right click on the “DOWNLOAD : stimeout600reg”. And
then, following window will appear.
Click “Open” button.
Click “Yes” button.
Apply the registry change; a reboot will be required for the
changes to take effect.
On the client side the default CIFS mount access uses
encrypted password, if you prefer to use plain password,
you can use this method to modify your settings.
