(including Servicing Dealers) with which Sony contracts.
Description
There is a network adapter software upgrade tool
“MakeCE.exe”.
This software can be used in cases below.

When replacing the crashed compact flash
.
When the file system in the compact flash is destroyed
by turning off the power during the application running
(The symptom : Wherever rebooted, the “SONY” always
appears in the center of a picture.)

When writing the software in the compact flash
.
When upgrading
With this tool, the software can be written in the compact
flash (1-796-014-11).
2-2-3. BKM-B30NW Tool for Writing
Software
There is a tool for upgrading the software of the BKM-
B30NW.
Use this tool when upgrading the software in the Windows
CE from the PC card slot.
The OC needs the open space of 32 Mbytes.
How to use :
1.
Copy this software to the PC card.
2.
Extract the software in the PC card.
(When extracted, a folder containing CEV file and the
version upgrade software is created.)
3.
Install the network adapter to the PFM.
4.
Insert the PC card into the network adapter and start up
the PFM.
Select the INPUT3 PC.
5.
Double-click mydisplay/storage card/CeUpGrade.exe.
6.
The dialogue shown in the next page appears. Press the
Browse button and select the CEV file to be upgraded
in the storage card folder.
7.
Press the active Upgrade button.
8.
The upgrade starts and two progressive bars appear.
The upper bar shows a component in progress. And the
lower bar shows the entire state in progress.
When completed, the menu is once reset and returns to
the initial menu.
9.
Turn off the PFM and unplug the AC cord.
