3.5 Module_PWR_EN_B / Wake Selection
A power down or "sleep mode" is available in which the module is placed in a low power consumption state under
control of the host application.
The "wake up" function of the module is performed by setting position 6 in switch S3. The table below indicates
the position, which reflects the ON state for each module family.

The module is reset by switching the power supply off and on, or by turning the module off and on using the
MODULE_PWR_EN_B / WAKE signal. Care should be taken to ensure that the OFF time is 4-5 seconds.
3.6 Serial
interface
The external host communicates with the Module through J2, which is a standard RS-232 9-pin interface (see
below). The straight-through serial cable provided connects from J2 (DB-9 Female) to the serial port of a PC (DB-
9 or DB-25 Female).

The primary connector, J2, routes all the signals to the module interface, while level shifting the appropriate ones.
The secondary connector, J22, does not route all of the signals to the module. The following table details the
signal routing from J22.
