12. Recording infrared videos
IR video can be recorded and stored on both SD card, and also directly on PC hard drive,
using Sonel Thermo Analyze program supplied with the camera. Whether recording on
SD card, or directly on PC's hard drive, all information is being stored - each frame is
thermogram, meaning that the temperatures of each point are stored independently (just
like for the static images).
3 files with the same names and different extensiones are stored: video file (.avi) in h.264
format, which can be played in any video player installed on PC; second one is .raw file
containing thermogram data. The third one is .jpg file used as the video's thumbnail. It al-
lows to perform detailed analysis during video recording process as well as the analysis of
saved thermogram.
12.1. Recording on SD card.
This function can be selected by in main Menu:

button for 2 seconds.
Select this function to make video recording window appear on screen:
with "record", "stop" and "exhit" buttons.
Click on red button with touch pen to start recording, on white square to stop recording
and to save recorded footage automaticaly. Video is recorded at 25 frames per second
frequency. Recording can also be stopped and stored in the memory by pressing

button.
Stored IR video files can be browsed in the camera (see section 6), or played on PC with
installed media player.
12.2. Recording on hard drive.
Operating the camera (recording and analysis) in video mode, while storing data on hard
drive, is possible by using Sonel Thermo Analyze program supplied with the camera.
Driver, supplied on CD along with the camers, has to be installed. The camera can be
connected via Wi-Fi (see section 8.8 to learn how to configure the connection) or USB
(description below). In both cases, the camera driver must be installed.
