22. The appliance may only be connected to properly grounded 230V ~/50Hz electric wall outlets!
23. Do not use extension cords or power strips to connect the unit!
24. Power cable must not get in touch with hot surface!
25. The appliance should be located so as to allow easy access and removal of the power plug!
26. Lead the power cable so as to prevent it from being pulled out accidentally, and do not let it
hang over the edge of a table!
27. Heating elements / heated surfaces of the appliance are still warm for a while after the unit
has been switched off!
28. Switch off the appliance after each use, and unplug the power cable! Let the appliance cool,
clean it and store it at a dry, cool place!

Caution: Risk of electric shock!
Do not attempt to disassemble of modify the unit or its
accessories. In case any part is damaged, immediately power off the unit and seek the
assistance of a specialist.
In the event that the power cable should become damaged, it should only be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service facility or similarly qualified personnel.
COMMISSIONING
1. Before installation, carefully remove packaging, and make sure not to damage the unit or the
connecting cable. If you find any damage, the unit must not be operated!
2. Set the device on a solid, level surface.
3. Observe the positioning clearances shown on Figure 2! Observe the requirements effective
in the country of use.
4. Plug the unit into a standard grounded wall socket. Now the unit is ready for operation!
5. When the device is connected to power supply, it starts heating the iron and the red light is lit.
When the green light is also lit, the device has reached the temperature required for baking
waffles. Let the device operate empty for approximately 10 minutes.
6. A slight scent of smoke may occur during first use. This is not harmful and will stop soon.
7. Now the device is ready for use.
CLEANING, MAINTENANCE
1. Power off the appliance before cleaning by pulling out the power plug!
2. Let the appliance cool down! (20 minutes)
3. Use a slightly moistened cloth to clean the unit’s outer surface. Do not use any aggressive
cleaners! Avoid getting water inside of and on the electric components of the appliance!
