The ILMO 2 40 WT is a non-adjustable motor: a simple connection is all that is required.
The ILMO 2 40 WT programs its end limits automatically.
The ILMO 2 40 WT can be mounted either on the right or the left. It can be controlled from a control point with
a fixed position or momentary action-type switch.
The ILMO 2 40 WT is equipped with:
- obstacle protection to protect the roller shutter when it is being lowered.

anti-freeze protection to protect the roller shutter when it is being raised.

These instructions apply to all ILMO 2 40 WT drives across all torque/speed ranges.
1. PREREQUISITE INFORMATION
1. 1. AREA OF APPLICATION
The ilmo 2 40 drive is designed to drive all types of roller shutters equipped with rigid links and stops, which
fulfil at least one of the following conditions:
-
The motorised product is controlled by a switch without a locking device (see the attached
Safety
instructions
document).
-
When deployed, all parts of the motorised product are more than 2.50 m above ground or any other
permanent access level.

The apron of the roller shutter can be raised by 4 cm if a force of 150 N is applied upwards on the final slat
placed 16 cm from its fully-deployed position.
If the roller shutter has slats which can open, the openings must not allow a pin of diameter 5 mm to pass
through.
1. 2. LIABILITY
Please read these instructions carefully before installing and using the ILMO 2 40 drive. In addition to
following the instructions given in this guide, the instructions detailed in the attached Safety instructions
document must also be observed.
The ILMO 2 40 WT drive must be installed by a motorisation and home automation professional,
according to instructions from Somfy and the regulations applicable in the country in which it
is commissioned.
It is prohibited to use the ILMO 2 40 WT drive outside the field of application described above. Such use,
and any failure to comply with the instructions given in this guide and in the attached
Safety instructions
document, absolves Somfy of any liability and invalidates the warranty.
The installer must inform its customers of the operating and maintenance conditions for the ILMO 2 40
WT drive and must provide them with the instructions for use and maintenance, and the attached
Safety
instructions
document, after installing the ILMO 2 40 WT drive. Any After-Sales Service operation on the
ILMO 2 40 WT drive must be performed by a motorisation and home automation professional.
