COMMISSIONING
1- Make all connections between the machine and the winder. You have to select the polarity according to the type of
wire that is going to be used. However, the gas tube and the control cable are always connected to the same spot (1-
2). Ensure that all power, control and gas connections are firmly attached between the winder and the power unit.
The connector of the power unit, marked as No. 4 in the following figure, is not used for MIG-MAG welding. This con-
nector is used only for connecting TIG torches and remote controls in MMA mode.
The Aeroprocess 4200DV machine comes standard with 1.7m (73362) wiring. If desired, the same wiring is available
with 5 and 10m. The same sizes of cables, prepared for the AEROCOOL cooling unit, are also available.
Positive connection
This type of connection is the most common for
different types of wire. The power cable is con-
nected to the positive pole and the earth clamp
to the negative pole.
Negative connection
This type of connection is rare. It is used for tu-
bular steel wires without gas or with base type
gas. The power cable is connected to the nega-
tive pole and the earth clamp to the positive pole.
You are recommended to see the polarity specifi-
cations given by the wire manufacturer, as these
may vary.
The standard AEROFEED winder, comes with a
1.7m cable (73362). If desired, the same cable is
available with lengths of 5 and 10m.
