The GNSS technology within the SoloProtect ID Pro means:
• GPS (United States)
• GLONASS (Russia)
• Galileo (European Union)
• Beidou (China)
As standard the ID Pro will come with the combination of GPS and GLONASS activated, however as the device supports the above, alternative combinations can be configured as
below with agreement from SoloProtect:
• GPS & GLONASS
• GPS + Beidou
• GPS & Galileo
• GPS, GLONASS & Galileo
There are a couple of combinations which cannot be enabled at the same time, there are as below:
• GLONASS & Beidou
• GALILEO and BeiDou
Bluetooth Beacons
SoloProtect ID Pro has sight of Bluetooth Beacons, and can be configured to be aligned with an existing network, or as part of a new network of beacons supplied through
SoloProtect. In the event of a ‘Red Alert’ an Alarm Receiving Centre operator can utilise the nearest beacon in order to inform the best possible response for the lone worker.
This technology is beneficial where traditional location technologies (such as GPS or GNSS) are ineffective due to a worker being located indoors, in a multi-story building, or on a
particularly large or sprawling single-site address.
Wifi
SoloProtect ID Pro reports all local Wireless Access Point information (without connecting to the networks themselves) to the Alarm Receiving Centre whenever a Device Check
or Alert is raised. This information can then be used in the event of a Red Alert being raised in order to locate the user should GNSS or other services not provide a location due
to a lack of coverage.
