Alternating between Pulse function and another manual speed setting will
deliver optimal results when blending and chopping foods.
•
Thicker mixtures will be mashed up more efficiently if the blender jug is only
quarter- or half-full resp. when using the small blender jug with lid (available as
an accessory, see page 101).
•
Never use metal kitchen utensils or tools, they might damage or scratch the
blades and the blender jug.

This blender is
not
suited to kneading dough or pureeing resp. mashing pota-

TIPS FOR PERFECT BLENDING
•
Never exceed the MAX marking when filling the blender jug with foods and
liquids.
•
Be careful when blending large amounts or liquids – the mixture might spill out
through the cap opening in the lid of the jug.
Note:
Do not fill the blender jug above the MAX marking! Should the jug be
filled in such a way that the contents reach almost or exactly up to the MAX
marking, place a hand on the lid to prevent it from spilling during use.
•
Should the volume be under the MAX marking during operation, the cap in the
lid can be removed so that oil or other liquids can be added. The lid itself must
never be removed from the jug during the blending process.
•
The blender should only be used until foods or mixing program are ready and
form the perfect final products. Do not blend foods longer than necessary.
•
Use the Pulse function when the foods are too thick or coarse to circulate in the
blender jug.
•
Ingredients might stick the side of the jug. To move the foods back towards
the blades, turn the blender off and pull the plug. Wait for the blades to come
to a full stop and the ventilator to be turned off. Remove first the jug from the
motor base and then the lid. Push the foods downwards with a plastic spatula,
pushing from the side of the jug towards the blades. After that, firmly place the
lid back on the jug, place the jug on the motor base, connect the plug, activate
the appliance and continue blending.
•
If you want to use the tamper to push the foods in the blender jug down towards
the blade base, you should only do this when the lid is in place through the
opening in the lid. Of course, to do so, the cap has to be removed beforehand.
•
Should you notice moisture or liquid on the upper part of the motor base during
blending, immediately switch the appliance off. Wait for the ventilator to stop
and pull the plug. Lift the blender jug off and immediately wipe the motor base
dry with a dry cloth or kitchen towel.
•
Use the Pulse function for foods that require individual, powerful bursts of
blending, e.g. when chopping nuts or crushing ice cubes.
•
Your blender can crush a maximum of 12 – 14 standard tray ice cubes in the
2-litres blender jug. Use the Pulse function.
•
When preparing drinks with ice cubes or frozen fruit, you should engage the
Pulse function multiple times.
