The
second
option
is
two
MPP
Trackers
that
operate
separately,
which
can
be
very
helpful
for
sites
with
shading.
However,
this
also
means
that
one
must
consider
these
two
zones
as
two
separate
inverters
and
power
must
be
balanced
as
much
as
possible
between
the
two
MPPT
zones.
NOTE:
Always
connect
an
equal
number
of
wires
to
PV1
and
PV2
connectors
for
dual
MPPT
zone
operation.
If
an
odd
number
of
connections
are
required,
we
recommend
setting
the
inverter
to
single
(combined)
MPPT
zone.
NOTE:
Connecting
all
of
the
inputs
at
zone
“PV1”
will
result
in
only
utilizing
50%
of
the
inverter
power.

WARNING:
Strings
must
be
balanced
for
optimum
performance
and
AC
output.
When
doing
DC/AC
ratio
sizing,
perform
calculations
on
the
zone
level
unless
you
intend
to
combine
MPPT.
