Unpacking Procedure

Check all packaging for external damage; report any such damage to the carrier.

Open and check the package. If any items are missing, please contact Customer
Service.

If applicable, do not remove any component from its packaging until immediately
before installation.

Ensure that connection ports are capped (as applicable) and not damaged, and that
cable glands are sound and secure in their packaging.

General Considerations
CAUTION.
We strongly recommend that the technical
personnel installing this radio and ancillaries possess the
knowledge and skills appropriate for making such
installations.
Power connections to the radio must be made in
compliance with Local and National Electrical Codes.
SOLECTEK disclaims any liability deriving from improper
or unsafe installation practices.

Equipment and/or accessories required for
carrying out the following procedures are provided at the
beginning of said procedures.
5.7.2
Grounding Requirements
CAUTION.
Proper grounding of the outdoor equipment
reduces electromagnetic interference, provides lightning
protection, and protects against electrical discharge.
Using improper techniques in lightning-prone geographic
areas may pose a danger to local personnel.
The source and connection points for the building-to-
earth ground near the antenna location should be
determined.
