GAS CONVERSION

This appliance is field convertible when a SÓLAS gas conversion kit is used. Gas conversions 

must be performed by a licensed service technician. Before servicing the appliance, shut off gas 

and electrical power to the unit.

1.  Remove the surround with integrated screen. Pull the 

bottom edge of the surround outward to disengage 

the magnets and then lift the top up and off the upper 

brackets. To prevent damage to the surround with 

integrated screen, always set the surround in a safe 

place while it is removed from the fireplace.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.  Remove front glass panel and frame. Refer to page 35 

(Installing the Front Glass Panel and Frame section)  

Reverse steps starting with Step 5 and end with Step 1.

3.  Remove the bottom outer panel

 

by removing the #10 

sheet metal screws, using a 5/16 nut driver or ratchet 

with extension. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4.  Remove the 2 Phillips head screws from the outer
