Steps:
4. Open completely the canopy;
5. Put every profile reinforcement over the
correspondent cell;
6.
Put together the two parts and roll up the
canopy without compress too strongly.
Repair:
Repairs should only be carried out by the manufacturer, distributor or
authorized workshop.
Maintenance Tips:
•
The
SOL SONIC
fabric is made mainly by
Nylon
which like any other
synthetic material is ultraviolet sensitive and it decomposes, looses
its mechanic resistance and increases its porosity. It is recommended
to avoid the unnecessary sunlight exposition which has a high UV
radiation, specially in high altitudes;
•
It is recommended to keep the glider reserved and protected when is
not being used;
•
The lines of
SOL SONIC
are composed by a
High Performance
Polyethylene
core
(Dyneema)
and
Aramida
(Technora)
, with a
protective
Polyesther cover
. Avoid an individual overload of the lines
more than the usual efforts during the flight because an excessive
deformation is irreversible and it becomes permanent;
•
In the same way avoid folds in the lines, specially in the main ones;
•
Keep the canopy and lines clean as dirt may penetrate into the fiber
and shorten the lines or damage the cloth;
•
Also do not allow the lines to twist in obstacles when it inflates to
take off because it may occur an excessive deformation in the lines;
•
Never step on the lines especially on the ground;
•
Be careful not to allow snow, sand or stones to enter inside the
canopy's cells. The weight can tear or even stall the glider. The sharp
edges can destroy the cloth as well;
•
Uncontrolled strong wind takeoffs or landings can result in the
leading edge of the canopy hitting the ground at high speed which
may cause rips in the profile and damage the material;
•
In case of twist the brake lines may flay or a main line may be cut by
a brake line and break due to the friction;
•
During the landing avoid the angle of attack fall forward on the
ground since this can damage the material which the paraglider is
made of or fall apart the seam;
•
Check line lengths after tree or water landings Clean the paraglider
with fresh water after contact with salt water. Saltwater crystal can
weaken line strength even after rinsing in fresh water. Replace lines
immediately after contact with salt water. Never dry the glider
directly in the sun. Do it always in the shadow;
•
A line plan is enclosed in the glider manual or may be requested from
the manufacturer or distributor;
•
Do not always fold the canopy symmetrically to the
center cell as this
can cause constant stress in the same area;
•
An annual inspection of the
SOL SONIC
should be carried out by the
manufacturer or distributor after every 100 hours of flying or once a
year. This is a necessary term of the
SOL
warranty.
