4.6 Adjustment of the axis
To be able to constantly guarantee a safe ride with the Lou Board, the flexibility and steadiness of the board has to be
adjusted. This setting is adjusted over the fixing screw on the axis. The more the screw is tightened, the more inflexible and
stiff the axis will be. Conversely, the axis will be more flexible and smoother, when the screw is loosened. Depending on the
abilities of the driver as well as the condition of the driving surface, the axis has to be re-adjusted.
Beginners
Beginners are advised to adjust the axis quite stiff and rigid, to get a high steadiness on the board, which makes learning to
drive the Lou Board a lot easier. The board will then consequently lean less to the side and the driver has to balance out less
on the board. Narrow curves and turns can not be made in this way, but the driver gets a good feeling, how the board can
be controlled. More about operating the Lou Board can be found in chapter “Driving instructions”.
Advanced drivers
Depending on the abilities of the driver, the axis can also be adjusted more smooth and flexible. The driver therefore has to
have a better balance on the board, but can operate the board more smooth and exact. Also the driving narrow curves and
turns is possible.
4.8 Further notices
Avoid plugging in the charger in the Lou Board and in the power outlet, if the device is already fully charged. This could
reduce the capacity of your battery.
Always check all the screws of your device before using, especially the ones of the wheels and the axes. Tighten all the
screws, to guarantee full safety when using your Lou Board. Check the brake performance of your device before every usage.
