1.
The wheels of the Lou Board always need to have gripping contact to the ground. Therefore avoid obstacles or
slippery surfaces (e.g. snow, water, oil etc. on the driving surface) to reduce the risk of falling. Abrupt maneuvers,
riding over uneven ground with bumps, elevations or loose objects increase the risk of falling and therefore should
always be avoided. Avoid riding over objects or elevations on the ground, especially if they are higher than 1 cm.
Avoid cracks in the ground or any other kind of crevices (e.g. train tracks) when riding the Lou Board. The wheels
could become stuck in the tracks, which could lead to an accident or damage to the device.
2.
A risky way of driving (abrupt maneuvers, heavy acceleration, fast driving in curves etc.) increases the risk of injury
to the user and therefore should be avoided. The driving speed should always be adapted to the surroundings. Only
perform jumps or other stunts, if you are seriously proficient in such. Otherwise, this could lead to injuries of the user
and/or damage to the device and therefore reduce its performance.
3.
Always wear flat shoes when using the Lou Board. Furthermore, a second person is recommended to be present
when learning how to use the Lou Board.
4.
You should not exceed the maximum load capacity of 120kg on the Lou Board – this also includes objects, which
you carry with you (e.g. backpacks, bags, etc.).
5.
Never modify the Lou Board in any way, other than the changing of the deck plate, wheels, the axles or the battery.
A modification of the technical components of the Lou Board could affect the functionality of the device and therefore
pose a safety risk for the user. A modification of the Lou Board will void any warranty claims of the device. Certain
modifications could additionally be illegal, depending on the law.
6.
When using the Lou Board, wearing protective equipment is recommended (helmet, kneepads, elbow protectors,
gloves etc.). Furthermore, wear bright and flashy clothes, so other people notice you as early as possible.
