Configuring and Installing the Unit

S1600e

Here is a typical PTT/PTL application:

Audio Input/Output Types

The unit supports the following audio input types:

Line-in—To use a 3.5 mm jack (default).
In this mode, you need a pre-amplifier. You connect the

audio input on the unit to the Line-out connector on the

pre-amplifier.

Mic (with pre-amp)—To use a multimedia microphone

(Electret). Most multimedia microphones use a 3.5 mm

jack.
You connect the microphone directly in the unit’s audio

input.

With SConfigurator, you set the input type in the Audio tab.
